ENVIRONMENTAL ATLASES IN THE RUSSIAN-SPEAKING INTERNET

Abstract
Environmental atlases available online are considered. They were classified on the following criteria: the content, the territorial level of displaying, purpose of placement, relevance of the information, data format, and free access. The problems that arise when placing environmental atlases on the Internet are analyzed and the prospects of development of this direction of cartography are formulated.
